Hradec Králové Region
Hradec Králové Region is situated in the Northeast Bohemia. In the south, it borders on the Pardubice region, it borders on the Central Bohemia region in the west and the Liberec region in the Northwest. Hradec Králové region is a part of the three tourist pearls on the necklace of beauties of the Czech Republic - three tourist regions - Bohemian Paradise, Eastern Bohemia, Krkonoše mountains. Thanks to its unique and picturesque countryside, the region belongs among the most popular tourist destinations in the whole of the Czech Republic. Sněžka, the highest mountain of the Czech Republic, is located here and many winter sports fans come here every winter. The Hradec Králové Region is industrially well developer (medicine, pharmacy, textile industry..) and the region‘s capital, Hradec Králové, is a university city. A great number of cultural, historical and natural locations are to be found here including Český ráj, Jaroměř and Dvůr Králové known for its safari! The area is 4,758 km². Some 555 000 inhabitants live in our region. The capital Hradec Králové has nearly 100 000 inhabitants. The region comprises 448 municipalities. The territory of the Hradec Králové Region is an enchanting and attractive one for tourists the whole year round. The natural conditions, water areas and architectural monuments offer a wide range of facilities for spending free time and holidays throughout the whole year. Attractions can be found here for all age categories.
